Statement Of The Problem

It took me a couple of weeks until I made my decision on my research  topic. My passion  in our field is with swallowing disorders with the adult population . Therefore, after constant and none stop observation in my work place, I have decided on the following:
The occurrence of aspiration especially with thin liquids is very common with adults with dementia. This has been researched and been proven with different variation. Knowing this information helps the speech  language pathologist during the evaluation processes and what step to administer. However, there is no research that indicate if there is any differences in the occurrence of aspiration between males and females. I think this is in important aspect to know and that is going to be the concentration of my research.

Hello Everyone

My name is Bedoor and I am a speech language pathologist pursuing my SLPd at Nova Southeastern University. I am currently completing my CFY at Kindred Hospital and I have been enjoying every second of it. I work only with the adult population and deal mostly with dysphagia.

P.S. People always tell me that I have a unique name, therefore, I wanted to share the meaning of my name. My name means "full moon" in the Arabic language.
